At the Union Gardens breaking ground ceremony, we were pleased to announce our new community fund. For the expected construction period of Union Gardens, we will donate £12,000 each year to local projects and community organisations. This means there’s a total of £36,000 available for the next three years.
The first recipients of funding are Whytemead Primary School, whose school choir has been invited to perform in the Young Voices concert at London’s O2 Arena in early 2027. Young Voices brings together thousands of children from across the UK and gives them the chance to sing and perform on a professional stage. For many of Whytemead’s students, this could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Our donation will go towards entry fees, coach travel to London and event t-shirts for the choir and will ensure that as many pupils as possible can take part, regardless of financial circumstances. We wish Whytemead Primary School the best of luck and hope they enjoy this wonderful opportunity.
If you’re part of a local charity or community group based in central Worthing, you can apply for funding by contacting Max Harbron at max@roffeyhomes.com.
